(Food has no rating as I only tried their Kava.) Wow, what an experience! I'd passed by this store many times in the past, but today I finally went in. Large store with plenty of seating, a stage for live music (happening the first and last Tuesdays of each month), and the ornately decorated Kava Bar™. I strolled in clueless, as I originally thought they were selling Kratom (a different plant with energizing effects in smaller doses). The gal behind the bar immediately greeted me and asked if I've tried Kava before, which I had not. She gave me the complete run down of Kava, it's origins, and consumption. I was warned the drink might be bitter, but the mango and pineapple juice masked any bitter taste. The Kava did make my tongue numb within seconds however... I guess that's how you know it's working! :P Sili, the aforementioned gal behind the bar, was extraordinarily friendly. I came in with so many questions about the origin of kava, the culture, and so on, and she was enthusiastic to answer my questions. Vanessa, Zizi, Joseph, Phillip, Kevin, and Lauren are always awesome. Everyone here is friendly, attentive, and genuinely down to earth. I’ve been to a lot of places, but this one always feels like home. You can tell they care about the people who come in, and I always leave having had a great experience.

Been going here since they opened. I love it! Their cloudbreakers are stronger than other locations. All the customers that come are a cool lil vibe. Staff is down to earth. Music is always A-1. They have plenty of games and karaoke/music nights.

This place was great and comfortable! I loved the not so super bright lighting and relaxed atmosphere. Customer service by Kaylynn was great and she helped me choose my first drink which I’ll definitely have again! Not many food options, hence the 4stars but that do have really cool apparel!! I totally dig this place!

5/5 stars! Can't wait to come back and try more of their amazing drinks! I stumbled upon the Root of Happiness Kava Bar in Midtown and I'm so glad I did! Vanessa was an absolute gem - she took the time to beautifully explain the different kava drinks and the unique style and brand that Root of Happiness brings to the table. What really impressed me was the care and attention to detail that Vanessa and the team bring to each drink. They've crafted a truly unique experience that's unlike anywhere else. And the best part? I got to sample one of their signature drinks and it was LOVE AT FIRST SIP! The flavors were expertly balanced and the vibe was just right. If you're looking for a unique and welcoming spot to relax and unwind, look no further than the Root of Happiness Kava Bar. Can't wait to come back and try more of their amazing drinks!
